murals

i'm kinda (and when i say 'kinda' i mean 'totes') loving the idea of a wall mural. whether just text or an image, i think i dig. a lot. maybe a mural somewhere in the new place? what do we think? yay or nay?

(and i promise to stop blogging apartment-themed posts soon-ish :) )

I love the first one...the dandelions..hate them in real life, but don't think they will multiply on the wall...also love words..have seen that at a few friends places, always interesting, like a piece of art.

Have you thought about doing textured painting? I tried one method in my current apartment. You apply a base coat of paint, then once dry, apply a second colour but smear it around in a circular motion (wax on, wax off ;)). It kind of makes the room look a bit dramatic. Different techniques can be found in the paint dept. at home depot.

am definitely thinking the words might be the way to go. but i'm thinking more along the line of using lyrics i like. art + music. j'aime.

slor - who.are.you. right now??? lol loving all your tips!!! have any pics of your place? send em over! :)

sorry, me again...what if you got tired of reading the words? how would you get rid of them?

hey telo :) i'm thinking of making the letters out of decals or something, so i can update them or change them if i get tired of them...not exactly sure how it's going to work just yet...but that's the intention! lol

I say bring the outdoors in, love the tree pic! Are you surprised? ;-) There could be MANY themes...ocean, water, birds, butterflies etc...all mean freedom to moi...pics are sometimes better than words...they say so much on their own...more open to interpretation... Or change it up every so often? Or have a combo? Ya? :-D No? :-( Curious to see what the end result will be!
