blue period.

living

it's moving week. i'm exhausted and have had very little time to pack given i've been shooting the last few days. but the excitement of having (and decorating) a new place is keeping me going(ish). the only downside to the decorating? i've inherited the blue couch in the split. the blue couch. ugh. if you've never had a blue couch, consider yourself lucky. they're not so...hmm, flexible. the possibilities are not endless. so, having already had taupe in one place with the blue couch, and a buttercreamy yellow currently cohabitating with the blue couch at present, i'm looking for new colour matches. any suggestions? i'm thinking either red/white/blue (pic on the left courtesy of apartment therapy) or a green/blue mix (pic courtesy of ikea).

what do you think?

the green is nice - i think it's warmer..... i'd go green. and since i'll be there every day for lunch - that's what i think you should do :) xo

Have you thought about getting rid of the blue couch altogether or seeing if there was someone out there who wanted to do a couch swap? What about getting really crafty and changing the fabric yourself.

while I'm down with the blue and green combo from IKEA, you can always get yourself a slip cover in a more neutral color way. I feel your pain on the couch color situ, I have both a rust colored one and a maroon one in my hose, both barely passable in their respective rooms (at least one is in the basement)

this place http://www.surefitfactoryoutlet.com/html/browse_the_store.html is in ajax and I believe in whitby and the shwa, might be a possible alternative given that the couch is still in good condition.

slip covers look great, all neatly tucked in, tied here and there, and looking oh so pretty....until you sit on them!...not so "awes" then...tried it on MY blue couch...brought it back after one weekend
