tim time.

given it's been a couple of months, i figured it was high-time i get back my blog. i know my last post was bragging about how often i'd write now that i could moblog, the irony is not lost on me. in my defense, the buggy-as-hell wordpress app was down for a lot of that time and between that and a new job...well...less posts. i know, i know, whine less, write more!

the good news is, i've done so much since my last post, that i have no shortage of things to write. so lessay we start with the most recent and then work our way back!

first up, tim burton at the bell lightbox. we went last friday night. yes, opening day...what can i say? we were a little eager! the exhibit was originally curated by the moma in new york, and after hearing that burton was their third all-time attended exhibit (behind only picasso and matisse), i have to admit, i had some pretty high expectations. my expectations were definitely met. the exhibit has over 700 pieces of burton's work - basically, if he ever drew it at some point in his life, it was framed and on display. perhaps my only gripe was that we were told that we had to leave our coats on and zipped up. um, hello? winter jacket? indoors? zipped up? -insert sweaty betty here- i had assumed this was because of some prickly-burtonesque sculptures inside, but really mostly everything was either framed or encased in glass.

i could only take the one pic just as we were entering the show. the no camera policy was in full effect (tons of security in every nook and cranny throughout the exhibit), which i suppose is for the best, now you'll all have to go see it in person!

if you haven't been just yet, fret not! you have until april. and i would definitely recommend you go, even if you're not a die-heard burton fan.
