let the countdown begin.

some may say it's too early to start the official countdown, but my mind is already wandering...and i'm really excited...and we're less than 20 days away, so i think that makes it a-ok. 17 days till vacation! 18 until vancouver and 19 until i'm on a sweet, sweet beach in hawaii! can't.friggin.wait.

it's funny, i've realized since i started telling people that we're going to hawaii, how far off and magical it sounds to torontonians. most people here never vacation there, but i'm not sure why. have any of you ever been? sure, it's a bit pricier, since there are no all-inclusive resorts there, but if you're willing to hunt around a bit, it's totes doable. and yes, most people know i am tres excited about what we paid (some say i am more excited about that than the actual vacation itself lol). when we bought, we paid just over a grand. today (and every day since we booked), you can't get a flight and stay in our condo for any less than two grand! this excites me for two reasons: 1. i love a good deal (who doesn't?!) and 2. if it had been two grand, we deffo would not be seeing hawaii. we'd be vacationing in some all-inclusive down south for sure.

so, to sum up this post, i have mega excitemente for vacation...and you should get used to seeing a countdown on this page ;)

UPDATE: am adding a new pic that i just stumbled across, because i think it's rad. seriously, how awes is this? mmm. water, waves and sunshine. can't wait.
