if you're in toronto, grab your credit card, your reusable shopping bag and head over to cubeshops. new to the city, this teeny tiny little store on baldwin street is oozing totes cool japanese design. from rubberized microwave bowl covers (shaped like a pigs face - the steam escapes through his snout), to picture clips shaped as hangers, to gorg individual flower vases, the store is full of really smart products that will tempt you into emptying your entire wallet. and the best part? it's the only place you can buy most of these products in canada. my pick? the salt and pepper shakers i shot above. the mouths are shaped as if they are saying "salt" or "pepper" in japanese. of course, i can't even tell you what those words are now...but trust me, it sounded good when the owner was explaining them to me. adors, non?
