rip michael.

as a dancer, mj was a huge part of my childhood - down-the-floor exercises, recitals, competitions.
i was billie jean, a smooth criminal and dancing with the man in the mirror. and while he went from king of pop to wacko jacko, you cant deny the awesomeness of the music, what an amazing performer he was, or the creativity he brought to music videos.
i'm super sad to hear of his passing. but i know someone who will be devastated...my grams. every dance party we ever had in her living room while i was growing up, involved mj blaring loudly. and some things will never change.
so here is a final ode to michael.
my grams, couch dancing to 'bad'.
but before you watch, here are a couple reasons to love this video (as if you need any besides the fact that it's my grams and she's insanely awesome):
- she is singing and dancing in front of several people
- she is the only one singing and dancing among the several people
- the lyrics: "who's bad? not me. i'm good."
- the fact that she may be several glasses of wine in, and has no recollection of me taking this video
- the lyrics: "i'm good. i'm bad. i'm good. i'm bad."

rip michael. and thank you for all the memories.
